Wales rugby: RBS Six Nations
Following on from the excitement of the 2011 Rugby World Cup, Wales started their journey in the 2012 RBS Six Nations yesterday. A great start for the Welsh Rugby Team securing a 21-23 victory over Ireland in a thrilling game at the Aviva Stadium.
With the Six Nations Championship now in full swing, Wales’ first win has put them on track for a Grand Slam (victory in every game). Wales' victory over France on the final day of the 2008 RBS Six Nations provided the team with a perfect ten of Grand Slams. Let’s hope for number eleven this year!
The Wales squad led by captain, Sam Warburton and coach, Warren Gatland have a few games to get through first though. Here are Wales’ upcoming matches in the RBS Six Nations:
Sunday 12th February 2012 – Wales v Scotland (Millennium Stadium, Cardiff)
Saturday 25th February 2012 – England v Wales (Twickenham)
Saturday 10th March 2012 – Wales v Italy (Millennium Stadium, Cardiff)
Saturday 17th March 2012 – Wales v France (Millennium Stadium, Cardiff)
