sports isn’t quite your cup of tea, then don’t worry there are plenty of other things going on in Wales this weekend!
The
Iris Prize Festival is well underway with the winner of the festival being announced on Saturday, 8
th October, good luck to all the filmmakers! The Iris Prize is the only short film prize in the world which allows the winner to make a new film!
Newport is also hosting a celebratory weekend of fire, spectacle and entertainment! The
Big Splash kicks off today, with a host of Fire Spectacular, Motorcross Stunts, Escapologist, Roller Derby, BMX Stunts, SWICA Magick, Gigantic Puppet Show BRAN, Climbing Wall, Waterwalker Balls, Danters Fairground and Food and Craft Stalls.
If that’s not enough the very first
Hay Walking Festival takes place this weekend as well! And we have the Michael Jackson Concert on Saturday 8
th October at the
Millennium Stadium.
Phew! There should be plenty there to keep you busy
