This Privacy Policy describes how we collect information from users of the website www.wales.com (the “website”) and what we will use that information for.

We take all reasonable steps to protect any information we collect from you or which you submit to us, both online via the website and offline, in accordance with legislation such as the Data Protection Act 1998 (the “Act”). We do not share, sell or rent the information you provide to us with any other person, company or organisation in any way other than as stated in this Privacy Policy, our website user terms and conditions, the terms and conditions of any competitions featured on our website or as required by our internal policies. We collect data from you (i) if and when you register your details on the website (e.g. so that we can send you information, now or in the future); (ii) via data capture devices using cookies and (iii) if you enter any competition featured on the website. The data we collect may include personal data and may include your name, email address and home address. We are required by H.M. Revenue & Customs to store and collect information about the country you live in. By disclosing personal information to us, you consent to the collection, storage and processing of information as set out in this Privacy Policy.

3. We follow appropriate security measures in the storage of personal information so as to prevent unauthorised access by third parties. However, the Internet is not a totally secure medium and you acknowledge and agree that, to the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be responsible for any unauthorised use, distribution, damage or destruction of personal data.

4. We use cookies on the website but we do not rely on their use. You can turn off our cookies on your computer. We do not use details relating to a particular computer's Internet Protocol address in order to administer the website or to otherwise track the movement of users of the service through the website. We do, however, record certain information regarding the use of the website on our own internal systems. This information is used to allow us to administer the website, correct errors and hold details of a user of the Service who has added to or amended information in a particular archive. 9. Subject to the terms of this Privacy Policy, unless required by law we will only pass your information to third parties with your consent, provided that we shall (and then only in good faith) from time to time share your personal data with other public sector bodies in Wales.

10. You, your officers and employees have a right of access to any personal information we may hold about you and/or them (for which we may charge a small fee) and you and/or they may correct any inaccuracies in your or their information.
